Civilisation. Finally.

The three children had been travelling 2 years. It was the furthest they’d travelled alone, and coming across Elysium was the first spot of luck they’d stumbled across.

The eldest Overdose son wore his usual regalia over his mottled pinto coat; his burgundy mane was plaited, his black tail held high over his rump in a rose gold clasp. As the wind picked up, the blue silk that gathered the last 5 plaits swayed behind him like a cape, and the two metallic chains connecting one of the chokers on his neck with the cuff on his ear clinked together like miniature bells. He had left the old Kingdom wearing such adornments, and had no plans to take them off for there was no shame in his royalty. In fact, Adrenaline might’ve preferred it, even, if every creature they passed picked up on the outfit and immediately recognised their calibre. How could you expect a creature of royal descent to grow up and not flaunt their worth in the faces of others? The Overdose’s grew up being told time and time again of their superiority over the rest of the world. Strangely enough, the suspicious fall of their parents from the throne did not damage the arrogance that royalty had initiated. They did not coil up in shame, cowering as their parents did in the far outreaches of their kingdom and destined to stare up at the royal palace as a distant memory.

In fact, Adrenaline found new reason to be self-absorbed in the purpose given to him by his parents. They created the surname ‘Overdose’ for their children and, knowing that Adrenaline was already planning on leaving with his siblings out of shame for them, sent them out into the world to create an internationally revered bloodline. They didn’t need to be royals to be famous.

The three had stumbled into the Golden Isle, a coastal destination scattered with a handful of other creatures going about their business. Adrenaline’s stride was long and purposeful; he was marginally shorter than both of his siblings, yes, but his legs stretched for miles and his crossed lineage made for an exquisitely regal outline. The only beast of the three that didn’t possess a pronounced oddity to his personality, it was perhaps fitting that Adrenaline was the firstborn and therefore the nominated ‘lead’ of the group. They were not always together, not nearly, but when they were he was most often the acting leader. His wit and intelligence lent themselves well to decision making and planning, and he’d spent the longest under royal parentage, after all.

His small hooves made shallow indentations in the sand as he skipped over the rocks and boulders that decorated the Isle. He glanced back to ensure his siblings were still following closely enough behind him and had not become distracted by the wonders of a new kingdom. Eventually he came to a stop beside one of the larger boulders that would serve to shelter the 3 from the buffeting cold winds. ”What do you think, good enough?” his words were well enunciated, his voice was low, smooth and buttery. ”Well, it had better be.”

Ecstasy Overdose Heroin Overdose apologies if you think it's slight powerplaying but i figured they'd probably be travelling in together c:

ECSTASY OVERDOSE

Born with a golden spoon~

Opal eyes were exploring the waters, snowflakes on her eyelashes. It was cold. Really cold. How can a royalty like her be in the middle of no-where in this cold day?
She sighed and continued walking near her older brother, Heroin. Adrenaline was in front of them a little, determined to find a new home.
Two years...Two freaking years of travelling and every winter was harsher than the older one.
Her gold shoes were making small marks on the sand. More like iced sand. She loved winter, but not when she was outside, in the middle of the storm. Her body was not made for this kind of temperatures.
She was walking with elegance and confidence. Ecstasy just hoped to find a new home as soon as possible, but no place was liveable or good enough for their new kingdom. In time, she began to actually like to take a break...even a short one. With every new teritorry she explored, the princess' expectations decreased.
She tried to so many times not to yell at Adrenaline and tell him to stop somewhere and stay there some days. But no, she knew that they need to find a place. And a good one. A place that they can call home, where they can find everything.
Stil angry after how their fame ended, she didn't talk about their past all this years. She had mixed feellings on her parents. Yes, she liked the ideea of being part of the newest interntionally revered bloodline, but she hated the travelling fact.
Eyes darted over Adrenaline as he finally spoke.
'' Good! Perfect actually! It's enough for us to finally rest! '' she responded, almost yelling, steam coming out of her nosetrils and mouth
The wind was sharp and cold and she felt her bones almost breaking and shaking everytime they were being hit by it. Seeing the big rock, she began running, trying to catch up with her brother and sat down.
   '' A little bit of shelter... ''
The gold accesories on her body were even colder than her skin and this was damaging her health.
'' I'm really going to catch a cold this time. ''
She looked then at her siblings, making sure it's enough space for all of them to sit near her.
Her eyes closed a little bit, catching her breath.

Heroin was the last of the three siblings to enter into the Golden Isle. He was traveling at a very leisurely pace, and honestly not really paying attention to where he was going. There were times when the stallion began to veer to the right by accident in a diagonal pattern, instead of the forward one laid out by Adrenaline. Before then, he had easily been keeping pace with his siblings, but somehow he got caught lagging behind in this particular territory. It was not hard to close the gap between them, for Heroin was the biggest in overall stature, he just had to find the right motivation. The only thing really keeping him on the straight and narrow was the presence of his little sister. Heroin felt the innate instinct to protect her, and thus, had to stay near her to do so. His body was essentially moving on autopilot and corrected itself without much effort. He was not having one of his little “episodes,” rather it was out of boredom that he behaved like this. Follow Adrenaline and try to keep Ecstasy warm, those were his primary mental instructions. Those were easy enough to follow, especially for an equine with marked intelligence like Heroin’s. There were a few that wanted to refute the notion that he possessed smarts, but he would willingly prove them wrong, given the chance.

Despite his lack of interest in travel, Heroin too was an excellent display of his family’s bloodlines. The man’s body was in no way petite, and it fell more in the middle weight category. He was not brawny or a behemoth, but simply regular sized. Heroin’s neck arched in an aristocratic manner, and his tail waived like one of those folded paper fans. And, speaking of necks, his was endowed with a giant collar, and small chains that encircled Hero’s rolling shoulders. His jewelry was the most muted out of the three of them, yet Hero knew he was special without all of that garb, and so that was all he needed in that arena. The stallion had an interesting coat pattern, even though that too was not as complex as his kin’s. Heroin had a deep black base coat, and his one back leg sported a gray coloration. His face was divided into white, black, and indigo. That was it; easy, simple, and yet still stunning in its own remarkable way. That was just how it was going to be, and on display for all to see.

Letting Adrenaline take the trailblazer position did not bother Hero whatsoever. If he paved the way, all the other two had to do was follow after him. It was the way it was always done, and probably would never, ever change. That did not mean that the second born could not step up to the plate if need be, for he was no lazybones. Taking initiative and commanding others was drilled into his brain from a young age. But when his eldest sibling took the reins, Heroin just let him have them. Adrenaline was made for roles like that, him being incredibly tenacious, charismatic, and a go getter. Believe it or not, Heroin was probably the softest spoken of the bunch. His friendly and mostly laidback demeanor meant that Hero did not stir the soup pot and cause too many problems. The Paint leapt along after his brother on the sandy lumps, while still trying to be a horse shield for their little sister. It might not be working out quite as well as he would have hoped, she was like a moving target on stilts, but Heroin still tried anyways. He would have done the same for his brother, had they not a few steps between them.

After quite some time, something appealed the rustic red male ahead of the pair, and he asked both of their opinions on their station. Adrenaline seemed to have already made up his mind on the matter. Heroin could not help but smirk at their sister’s response to their arrival. It seemed like she was gratefully angry to be there. Sometimes it surprised him that she actually was named Ecstasy. Normally, the word ecstasy meant happy, joy, or even delight. But she actually could be the most temperamental out of the trio in fact. Maybe their parents were trying to use reverse psychology on her; perhaps they figured if they kept calling her Ecstasy, the feelings of happiness would eventually rub off on her. Or it could just be the fact that strange names were the norm. Naming two out of their three children after drugs was probably a sign of that.

As his initial answer, Hero huddled closer to his siblings. He despised the cold with every fiber of his being, and the less he could be subjected to it the better. The rocks were very beneficial, and probably the best they could get for the time being. “I have been trying to keep you at least a little warmer since we got here, but apparently somebody does not appreciate it,” Heroin stated with a small, playful huff at Ecstasy. He knew that this whole journey had been taxing on them all, and was trying to make light of the situation a little bit. “I will just keep all of this wonderful body heat to myself next time then. You can have your peasant cold for all I care. I, on the other hand, do not get colds, my immunity is top notch.” Heroin stuck his nose in the air with all the arrogance and jesting in the world. Of course he had gotten sick once or twice, but still believed himself to be the superior one in that field. This made him chuckle a bit, and he attempted to nudge them all together. It was then that Hero’s indigo eyes settled on his brother specifically and he spoke again. “Thank you for your grand effort Addy, this will certainly do for now.”

It was all for one, and one for all.

It was perhaps only natural that his siblings were already bickering, despite having finally found a practical place of refuge after so long tirelessly travelling away from home. They loved each other dearly, of course – being formerly royal children they couldn’t likely get away with hating each other for it would pose the royal name in vain and make their parents look bad – but there was often no escaping the childish arguments between them. Adrenaline oft joined in, he could not make the claim that he was above it all, but today his fatigue overruled his ability to make a witty and irritating contribution. Instead, he tilted his ears forwards and away from his approaching arguing siblings, leaning his side against the rock he had chosen for shelter and closing his eyes for a short moment.

There had to be an end game. Eventually, there must be a goal. Whether for Adrenaline alone or something he, Heroin and Ecstasy together could put their minds to and head towards, he still needed direction. Continuing their newly awarded family name was not enough. It was too ambiguous of a goal, there was no particular finish-line. A family name can continue for decades, centuries, millennia, but there is nothing in writing it can head towards. You cannot simply commence a bloodline and encourage its growth until bringing it to a sudden halt because what you set out to do has been done and finished. No, his task to bring honour to the Overdose name was one thing but his restless mind and sharp intelligence yearned for more. Something else, something fulfilling and not perhaps altogether good hearted but at least something Addy could work for. He would find it, eventually he was sure, but for now his priority had to be his younger siblings. They were old enough to look after themselves, sure, but with both being over 3 years younger than him he felt an affinity to guide and protect them. Plus, both could be such irrational idiots occasionally that it was better to keep an eye on the two and ensure they weren’t up to no good and tainting the name they had been given rather than lifting it up.

Both Heroin and Ecstasy had been straggling and it took them a little while to catch up to the rock he stood in front of. The harsh wind seemed to have carried his voice to where they could hear him and respond but for some reason Heroin, at least, refused to rush to the temporary shelter he had found. Ecstasy ran immediately over and plonked, rather unceremoniously, herself down beside him, but his spaced out brother continued to dawdle until he eventually made it over and connected Addy with his younger sister by standing in the middle. Addy’s eyes begrudgingly slipped open again, and he looked over his siblings with a soft but fatigued and struggling smile.

”Hero, Tas, please shut up.” he sighed, the words fading into a slight mutter as he willed the two to quit their bickering. ”Correct answers,” he pulled a second, more amused smile as the siblings uttered their thanks for his efforts.

”I picked up a little from conversations we passed by. I believe the place in which we now reside is called Elysium. It’s not quite a Kingdom like we came from, but more a collection of 4 kingdoms, or herds, amongst a number of ‘nomadic’ lands” he rolled the word nomadic over his tongue like a foreign language. He was multilingual, of course, for much of his intelligence lay over a fascination with the languages, but coming from a Kingdom with one definitive pair of rulers, the word suggesting a lack of belonging was not often used. ”I am not sure how royalty works. Perhaps, eventually, we will find out from those we befriend.” he stood straight, breaking the contact between his slowly thawing flesh and the large stone, ”And guys. We are going to make friends. We may be better than them, but I won’t have us alienating ourselves, especially when we know why we are here.”

ECSTASY OVERDOSE

''A wolf in sheep's clothing is more than a warning!''

The wind was cold, and yet, she didn't care anymore. Ecstasy laughed as her older brother, Heroine, came and sat next to her.  For the first time in her life, she hated gold. It was not a great source of heat. Listening to her brother's words, she rolled her eyes.
'' Oh please. I can produce myself my own heart! I already have enough and I'm feeling better than anytime! '' she said in her sassy tone, with her head towards the sky, not even looking at her brother.
Then, hearing Adri telling her and Hero to shut up, she looked directly at her hooves. Ecstasy was a little bit too angry today, even if her brothers tried to do their best. Smiling softly, she sighed.
'' Sorry oppa...  I guess I was a little bit too moody today. Thank you for trying to help me, Hero oppa. And Adri oppa, you did a great job leading us. As always...''
Adrenaline began to explain them where are they exactly. Tas listened, the word 'Elysium' rolling softly of her tongue. She was staring for some good minutes at the sky. Their mission was to make the Overdose name known. They are royalty, but they need to fulfill their destiny.
She got up on her hooves, looking directly at Adrenaline.
'' It's going to be hard to make friends here, '' she spoke. '' We don't know anything about how things work here. ''
Then, her opal eyes checked the water, a smirk appearing on her face. She had no chances to become something important when she back home. Adrenaline was the only one, but her? She was the youngest sibling, the maknae, and the only girl.  But here, she has chances. New, big chances. Now, she can show the others that she is important too.
Of course, she loved her oppas, but she has a really powerful determination. She wants to become someone, now that she is just a rogue. She wants fame.
The sinister grin on her face became a normal resting bitch face and then, the maknae jumped on the big rock, her long mane dancing in the wind.
'' Let's go! I can't wait to meet someone! I want to find something about those herds as soon as possible! '' she almost yelled in excitement.
This is a new start to a new life!

Maknae = (koreean) youngest member in a family
Oppa = (korean) older brother (used by younger female)

“Oh I know that you can produce your own heat Ecs,” Hero teased her, “That is because you are an absolutely hot head, you are, and hot heads generate their own flames naturally. Burn, sister, burn.” A chuckle came from the multicolored equine, though it was abruptly cut off by Adrenaline’s short words. With his indigo eyes narrowed slightly in annoyance, Heroin did as he was told to however. His lips zipped, and further jesting was withheld in lieu of obtaining other information. A simple nod acknowledged what was being said to him, and the equine committed it to memory as fast as possible. The place they had chosen to stop at seemed not unlike others they had been to. It did not hurt to retain bits and pieces of info here and there though. Newcomers to new lands often got chewed up and spit out before they had a chance. It was all the better if he could shrug off the newbie appearance before it was apparent. With that though, the conversation took a more serious turn however.

Heroin was the last to speak his piece amongst the three siblings, but he did not mind that part at all. He was a patient young man, waiting in the wings until it was the right time to speak his mind. As the saying goes, you gotta save the best for last. Everything else is either a precursor or an opening act for the grand finale or main event. Heroin placed himself upon a rhetorical golden pedestal, and waiting for a moment to speak only lifted him higher. Then all eyes would just have to be on him. Adrenaline and Ecstasy were on pedestals of their own, but Hero’s was shinier and bigger in comparison. The reddened stallion telling him to shut his trap only made the moment he spoke more pivotal. Heroin waited until he heard Tas’ sassy, sweet, and bold remarks, already formulating what he was going to say as she talked. The part that bothered Heroin was the subject matter itself; that was the difficult part.

“I will always try my best for both of you. Does this mean…that we are splitting up now though you guys?” Heroin questioned, his head tilting slightly in the process. There was a note of uncertainty in his tone, and maybe even a hint of sadness there too. The stallion was always so used to being amidst the company of his bigger brother and younger sister. They had been through thick and thin together all this time from the start. Hero knew that it was inevitably unavoidable that they eventually would have to part ways a bit. They all had their own lives to live. Even though they were close knit, they were not conjoined triplets or anything. But the thought of splitting off into separate entities still tampered with Heroin’s emotions. They were going to break away from each other before they even knew the lay of the land? Heroin usually did not have difficulty making friends; that was something he was proficient in no doubt. But where would he start looking for them? A pang of loneliness hit Hero hard in the chest, and a frown of displeasure creased his lips, even though he was not alone yet. Call him sentimental, call it strong familial ties, or whatever else you want. The stag knew they all had potential to shine and all. But, there was always the big but. And the but here was that they had just really left their parents, and not only that, but now he would lose his siblings too.

This whole thing did not put the usually cheery stallion in good spirits. He saw how gung ho Ecstasy was to see the world, and how eager Adrenaline was to acquire knowledge like usual. They were already making big plans to achieve success. But Heroin, Heroin felt like he had everything he needed sandwiched up against his multicolored hide. He had one sibling to the left, one sibling to the right, and a sheltered place to rest their hooves at night. For some reason, spreading the Overdose bloodline did not seem so important to him if all the Overdoses were so far gone from each other. But, Hero was learning and growing into the man he would eventually become. He wanted to be someone that others could be proud of. And sometimes things like that meant being self-sacrificing and letting go of something he wanted to hold on to. He was a proud and often immature, arrogant beast of burden, but that did not mean Heroin was hard hearted. His siblings meant the world to him. In order to fly though, they had to be kicked out of the nest. And if they did not spread their wings, they surely would fall to the ground. That would just add insult to injury. It was hard for Heroin to digest at the time, but he was resigned to his siblings’ wishes.

A heavy sigh forced its way from the stag’s body, curling in wisps of white around him. His ears folded back on his head, but Heroin steeled himself for what was to come. It was not like someone had died or anything, but it was a bitter pill to swallow anyways. “Promise me this Tas, Addy, that no matter what happens, we will always return to this spot together at one point. No matter how far we wander from each other, promise me that this place will always be sacred ground for our family. It is where we start from in Elysium.” Hero attempted to look both the two in the eyes, one by one, grasping for sincerity and assurance. He was not making an idle promise here, just saying words to be saying them. That was a waste of his breath. He wanted to make sure that they could always find their way back to one another, no matter what the circumstance might be.

“Promise me.”

[Adrenaline]
[[we are the reckless]]
His watch over his siblings was curious. Troubled, perhaps.

Something in their being here like this seemed pivotal. What happened now could determine the dynamics between them for the rest of their lives and the resulting legacy - and he, as the eldest, was for the most part in charge.

He watched his brother and sister bicker with an impatient eye: at least his mind was focussed on the task in hand, even if the same could not be said for his blood relatives. He tapped his tongue against his top teeth, listening to the soft clack resounding through his skull rather than the childish voices of the two multi-coloured paint horses at his side. Both seemed to be harbouring a certain trepidation over his suggestions, one way or another. Ecstasy's concern based over the means by which she would charm potential friends, whereas Heroin seemed more worried for their splitting up.

Adrenaline cocked an ear towards the two and raised a brow, embracing a brief shudder that ran over his spine in greeting of a blow of cold wind. He flitted his gaze from one, to the other, then back again, watching both closely for their emotions. Annoying as they could often be, they were all he had thus far and he treasured them more than anything. He first addressed his younger sister, doing his best to pull a warm smile across his lips despite the brewing agitation that he fought to suppress. "Baby," he sighed, his tone at least coming across warm and comforting, "You will have no problem making friends. I know it. You're outgoing, bubbly and not to mention you're an Overdose. If you can't make friends with ease, I don't know who can." It was true. As far as he knew her, there was no anxiety or shyness in her character - the momentary unsureness of the situation must purely be down to the new surroundings.

At Heroin's suggestion he stifled a laugh, though it still came out as an unfortunate snort. They were bound to have to split up, it was true, and maybe this meant less to him than to the others. He had spent part of his life without siblings while they had been born afterwards, never having lived the life of an only child. Of course this had its advantages and disadvantages: he had had to watch the fall of his parents from the throne from the very beginning. While they were still crowned upon the birth of Heroin and then Ecstasy, the decline had already been set somewhat in motion. They were not quite so wracked with the guilt of what their mother and father had done.

The black, white and burgundy creature stepped closer to his brother and regarded him with a warm, if a little mocking, smile. "You know we are better than that." he spoke with stoicism, for there really was no way to break the bond that their shared surname had granted them. "You are an Overdose, are you not? We do not 'split' so easily." somehow the words were falling from his lips now like they might from a King. "Of course. We shall name this rock, on this Isle, our meeting point. You do not have to join herds or groups, the life of a nomad may suit us better than we could imagine. But make your lives into something, and treasure your name like our parents wished us to treasure it. This isn't a farewell," he laughed, knowing well the way the speech was beginning to sound despte his not intending it to make such an impact. There truly were no goodbyes to be said - they were here to make a name for themselves and it didn't mean shedding the ties that their blood threaded through them. "Go give 'em hell," he grinned, tossing his head back, mane flaring out in the wind before settling back down on his neck.

"Clear?" he spoke with a wild manner, dismissing the two as he readied himself for their responses before he would set out to find a life he could call his own.

ECSTASY OVERDOSE

''A wolf in sheep's clothing is more than a warning!''

The happiness in the mare's eyes faded away as she heard the next words from her older brother, Heroin. It was like she had been hit right in her jaw or eye.
She turned slowly and gracefull towards her brothers.  Going alone in a completely new place is hard and the thought of being all alone without Adry and Hero scared her.
Ecstasy's hair finally stopped moving in the air, as the wind faded away. She let out a long sigh.
'' I think we really split up now, '' she said softly, trying not to sound scared or sad, even if her emotion could be read in her opal eyes.
She was the youngest and all her childhood she was near her older brothers. The first person she saw was her mother, and her other two her brothers. Her father was the least. She played with them, she grew up with them. They even ran together from their kingdom to continue the Overdose Bloodline. They fought the rain, the snow. They protected her all her life. But, sadly, no. Tas needs to learn that she isn't going to always get in trouble and be saved by her heroes. Life is cruel. If something will happen to them, what is she going to do? She needs to live her life. She needs to continue.
Her mind came back to reality when Heroin began speaking again. She needs to make a promise. This moment was almost destroying her entire soul.
'' Of course, we will come back! Oppa, we will meet here every 2 or 3 months, okay? This sounds good to you? '' she stepped closer to him. '' I promise you, oppa. ''
Then, her attention went to Adrenaline.
'' Addy-oppa, thank you for helping me with your smart words. I'm gonna f*ck them! '' she said and let out a fake, small laugh
She knew that this is not going to end okay. But this is destiny.
'' Goodbye, Addy-Oppa, Hero-Oppa! See you soon! ''  she finally said, and turning her back towards them, she began running away, her golden shoes making small marks on the sand.
As she was running away from her brother, God knows where.  This is not going to end well, but this is her mission.

It was not that Heroin did not have faith in himself or his siblings that they could prosper. In his opinion, they were the greatest things on earth. They were the best things since sliced bread, bagels with jam, and bacon topped doughnuts all at once. But for a moment, sadness had crept up on him because he honestly feared the change. Who would have his back in times of trouble? It was assured that he would have testings and trials to come in the future. So, was his back against the wall when those came about? Who could he trust with all his secrets and tell all of his witty jokes to? What would happen to Ecstasy or Adrenaline when he was not there? There were so many questions that plagued the stallion’s mind, and took control of the reins. And those particular questions holding the reins jerked him in a way that he did not like. The cold bridle forcing down Heroin’s tongue felt and tasted like bitter, bloody metal in his mouth. It made him a little sick, and he wanted to resist them so badly. Even though Hero was an entirely free horse, and always had been, he felt incapacitated. It almost made him want to spit on the ground. He did not do it, but he was threateningly close to it. The urge was very strong, though he withheld from doing it though.

The middle brother watched with slightly narrowed eyes as his elder brother addressed their only sister. His narrowed eyes were not because of anger or malice; it was more so out of suspicion. The words that Adrenaline spoke were the truth, yes, but Heroin could not help but be a little doubtful. Ecstasy could handle herself and was outgoing enough to make friends, of course. She was fierce and strong, sometimes even more so than Heroin himself, and he had hero in his name even. Heroes were supposed to be brave for goodness sakes, not scared and weak. The man was just being cautious and concerned though. And it was draining his happiness considerably as he stood there, which he never thought was possible. He was the happy one; he was the playful one, so why did this hurt so badly? Heroin did not want them to be spoon-fed a sugar coated candy drop in order to make him feel secure. Heroin wanted the plain facts, straight and to the point. Could they make it out there alone? That is what he wanted to know and be confident in. But he just was not at the time.

Those galactic colored eyes wrenched away from the pair, and Heroin was momentarily lost in his thoughts. He did not want to hear this gum flapping going on in front of him, and his ears went flat against his head. Well, as best as they could go flat being that he was part Marwari and all. Addy’s laugh and step towards him were what drew Hero out again. Was he being sarcastic when Heroin felt this way? How dare he- “Yes, I am an Overdose,” the stag said, stopping his brooding short. It was atypical of his behavior to brood. He was the genial one of the group, and he could not lose sight of that. That would be like changing who he was in his spirit. He would not be Hero without being Hero. “I am the very best that there is.” His jaw clamped together in assured cockiness, making a silent statement. The rustic red male did have a point, even in his mocking. “You better hope we do not split easily, Adrenaline,” Heroin said, using the other male’s entire name. Usually he did not, but in this case it was necessary. “Or I will find you, and drag you back to this isle myself by that froufrou mane of yours. Oh, and I will make sure you do it kicking and screaming. Do not forget who the bigger brother is here.” A smirk crossed the man’s face, his happiness beginning to return to him. Adrenaline was older by birth, Heroin bigger in stature, and he attempted to push the other male.

After that, Hero turned to Ecstasy, wanting to speak his piece to her. He could not let her go without at least a small tidbit. It felt like he had held her hand for so long, and now she was slipping through his fingers like the mist. “Two or three months sounds doable to meet again. Thank you for your promise, sister. I will miss you in your absence though. I will not have a little brat to pick on and protect all the time. Stay strong, like always, but watch that overly sassy mouth of yours. I do not want to hear through the grapevine that a pink princess is off conoodling with some peasant boy either. That will get him killed and his head on a stake as a reminder.” Hero’s expression was a little devious, but he was totally serious too. While playful and giddy most of the time, he was always true to his word. He watched as the mare finally turned tail and made a break for the outside world. He sighed gently, accepting it for what it was. Eventually he would have to come to terms with it all, and he was a little better already, so Hero knew that it would be alright. “See you,” the man whispered into the abyss that was left in the mare’s wake.

Once more, Heroin set his sights on his brother. “I will miss you too, you big, big dope. Take care of yourself, and get all the smarts you can out there. You will need them to match even a fraction of my intelligence. Good bye for now then, Addy.” Heroin said quietly. He too turned his back to the isle, and then lifted on his hind hooves in a rear. “Get ready for heck everyone out there, cuz here it comes.”

With that, the stallion left.

[Adrenaline]
[[we are the reckless]]
The tri-coloured stallion listened intently to the responses of his siblings, each in turn. He suppressed an irritated sigh as Ecstasy expressed some kind of sentimentality. True, his heart ached at the thought of actually leaving his brother and sister in the scary wild world on their own. He knew they could cope just as well as he. He knew they'd thrive on the solitude, in fact, for it would force them to learn independence and grow up a little. Him, too, for that matter.

Ecstasy bid her goodbyes and trotted off, leaving Adrenaline stood with only his younger brother. Heroin swatted him with playful namecalling and teasing before he, too, left with a flourish. Adrenaline snorted at the fancy display, watching his brother disappear over the coastline in a cloud of golden sand. He took a moment to contemplate what had just happened, having been left no space to respond to either sibling - though it was probably for the best lest emotions might've gotten the better of the 3 - before pawing a darkened groove in the damp sand by the rock he had taken them to for shelter and setting off in the opposite direction to that which the other two had taken.

Surely the Overdoses would cover more ground that way. He lifted his head to the wind, embracing the daggers of rain that pummeled the side of his face, and started off in a loping canter towards new beginnings.

"Bring it," he whispered to the empty stretch of land before him.
